Reliance Infrastructure enters into Cement manufacturing through its subsidiary, Reliance Cement Company Private Limited (RCCPL) and marks the foray of Reliance Group in Cement Business. Set up in 2007, RCCPL aspires to be a leader in the domain of cement manufacturing and be a part of the Indian Infrastructure development story.

The Group’s entry into cement business is a natural extension of its interests in power and infrastructure businesses that gives a competitive advantage in the cement sector.

Reliance Cement has 3 plants with total installed capacity of 5.8 Million Tonne Per Annum (MTPA). Another 5 MTPA equivalent cement manufacturing facility is being developed at Mukutban in Maharashtra. The company envisages further increasing its cement production capacity in near future. RCCPL aims to carve a niche for itself in the Cement market through organic and inorganic growth.

The Reliance Cement has an integrated unit at Maihar in Madhya Pradesh and a Grinding unit at Kundanganj in Uttar Pradesh. The Maharashtra project has an integrated unit at Yavatmal and a Grinding unit at Butibori. Phase 1 of the Butibori unit was commissioned in 2012 and is currently catering to the markets in Vidharbaha region in Maharashtra and Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh. The Maihar unit was commissioned five months ahead of schedule, in 2014.

 

Our Projects

Reliance Cement presently has plants with total installed capacity of 5.8 Million Tonne Per Annum (MTPA). Of these:

  • 3.0 MTPA is at Maihar in Madhya Pradesh
  • 2.0 MTPA is at Kundanganj in Uttar Pradesh
  • 0.5 MTPA at Butibori in Maharashtra
  • Reliance Cement has marketing arrangement at Durgapur in West Bengal with annual capacity of 0.3 Million Tonne.
The company is also developing a 4.5 MTPA Greenfield project at Wani in Maharashtra. Currently Reliance Cement is available in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and a few cities of Maharashtra. The Company has applied for/ received various mining leases/ prospective licenses in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.
