Western Region System Strengthening Scheme
The Western Region System Strengthening Scheme II project was awarded to the company on the BOO basis, which involves construction, maintenance and operation of 9 transmission lines of 3,285 ckt kms length for 25 years of license period.
Western Region Transmission (Maharashtra) Limited
Six lines with a line length of 2,137 ckt kms is to be executed by Western Region Transmission (Maharashtra) Limited.

Western Region Transmission (Gujarat) Limited
The remaining 3 lines of line length of 967 ckt kms will be taken care of by Western Region Transmission (Gujarat) Limited .
This transmission-strengthening scheme will be a major boon for 9 states and Union Territories in the Western Region. Power Transmission Agreements with all these beneficiaries have been executed and transmission licenses have been granted by CERC.
Under Section 68, Electricity Act, 2003, approval has been accorded by Ministry of Power (MoP) for execution of projects.

Financial closure of these projects has been achieved and commercial operation is targeted to commence in third quarter of financial year 2010-11.
Prabati Koldam Transmission Corporation Limited
The transmission project at Prabati Koldam in Himachal Pradesh was awarded to the Company on BOOT basis for the construction, maintenance and operation of 400 KW transmission lines of two hydro projects. It includes 800MW Parbati-II HEP, which is being constructed by National Hydro Power Corporation Limited and 800 MW Koldam HEP, being constructed by NTPC Limited.
The project entails construction of two lines – one from Parbati-II to Koldam, another from Koldam to Ludhiana, with a total line length 457 Ckt kms.
The power extracted from these stations will be utilized by 13 beneficiaries of Northern Region states, encompassing Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Chandigarh and Uttarakhand.
The scope of this project is extensive because it will benefit practically the complete northern region.
The company has entered into bulk power transmission agreements with all but one of these beneficiaries.
Transmission License has been granted by CERC and Approval under Section 68 by MoP. Stage I, Forest clearance and Aviation clearance, has already been secured for the project.
RInfra Mumbai Transmission
RInfra Mumbai Transmission(RInfra-T) is a Deemed Transmission Licensee in Maharashtra State as per various Orders issued by Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission under Electricity Act 2003.
Strengthening the Mumbai Transmission System
We are always in a peace of action to provide power to Mumbai. We believe we are the lifeline of Mumbai and have over the years established a strong foothold in the city through our constant endeavors, combined with the support and recognition we have received from our customers.
In order to serve our consumers with improved reliability and to match the load requirements, we have geared up to take our initiatives in Mumbai to the next level by commencing state-of-the-art technology projects with commissioning of 220kV GIS, 220kV cables, Tank mounted cooling fins types 220/33 kV Transformers.
Three new 220/33 kV Transformers at 220kV Aarey, Versova and Ghodbunder EHV station along with 220 kV GIS, 220 kV cables and 33 kV GIS boards have been commissioned recently costing Rs. 110.56 Cr.
Ongoing Schemes for Strengthening of Mumbai Transmission System.
There are 9 ongoing schemes for strengthening of Mumbai transmission system with approved cost of Rs. 1721cr. Technical clearances from State Transmission Unit (STU) and Regulatory clearances from MERC have already been received for these projects across Mumbai Suburbs.
The execution of the below said projects have been initiated and works are being carried out in full swing:

Boosting power efficiency
R-Infra- T is a deemed Transmission Licensee and is a part of InSTS of Maharashtra. We have introduced 220kV GIS and 220kV cable connectivity for most of our upcoming EHV stations.Availability of 99.63% of the 220kV system is achieved for the year 2008-09.
