Use ISI Marked Electrolytic Copper wire for house wiring and at other installations

2. Provide efficient and anti - corrosive earthing with copper plate / rods / conductor
3. Provide sufficient circuits to avoid overloading
4. Use ELCB as a safety guard
5. Use MCB / MCCB for control and protection of circuits and equipments
6. Fly kites in an open area, away from power lines
7. Keep ladders & tools atleast 10 feet away from power lines, including the 'service drop' that goes from power poles to homes
8. Keep all electrical appliances away from water
9. Throwing things at insulators can damage them, causing danger to you and other people
10. Dont climb trees near overhead power lines, it would prove fatal
11. All outlets within reach, should have safety caps when small children are around
12. Always pull out the plug, not the cord
13. Avoid overloading, install adequate number of points
14. Toys or appliances with broken cords should be repaired or replaced
15. Don't use charged electric wires for drying clothes
